Schuyler County Transit is the public transportation system serving the villages of Burdett, Montour Falls, Odessa, Watkins Glen, and other areas in Schuyler County. Schuyler County Transit is committed to providing safe, convenient, and affordable transportation. Stops are made at Schuyler Hospital and Primary Care, Walmart in Watkins Glen, Tops/CVS, and the Human Services Complex in Montour Falls in addition to many other convenient boarding and departure points. If you have never used public transportation, now is the time to try! Please take a few moments to check out our website.

Schuyler County Transit is operated under a contract with Schuyler County by The Arc of Schuyler, a not-for-profit organization providing supports to people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Schuyler County to Offer New Transportation Option

 

SERVICE ALERT

ALERT:

 

SCHUYLER COUNTY TRANSIT TO ADD TOMPKINS COUNTY SERVICE AND INITIATES SERVICE CHANGES TO IMPROVE ACCESS.

New Service and Schedule changes are effective August 28th, 2017

New Service:

  • Tompkins Connections: Schuyler County Transit will begin service to Tompkins County with a route that connects Schuyler Hospital, Montour Falls, Watkins Glen to Cayuga Medical center and connections with TCAT to downtown transit hub and Cornell University.  This new service will operate 5 times per day beginning at 5:55AM and ending service in Watkins Glen at approximately 6PM.  
  • Village Connections: Schuyler County Transit will add Rock Cabin Mobile Home Park in Montour Falls as a new stop along the route.  Schedule times have been adjusted to accommodate the additional bus stop and are posted on schuylercountytransit.org

Service Changes:

Dial-A-Ride: Schuyler County Transit will change the days and times that the rural Dial-A-Ride service is available. 

The new service times: Tuesday – Friday 10AM-12Noon or 11AM-1PM depending on which side of the county the person resides.
